What is GUJCET?
GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is an annual entrance exam for candidates seeking admission into Engineering and pharmacy courses. The exam is overseen by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). However, the admission and the counselling process is undertaken by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

GUJCET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to ensure that they fulfil the following criteria to be deemed eligible:
- Candidates should be Indian citizens.
- Candidates must be domiciled in Gujarat (IF claiming reservation).
- The candidate’s age must not be less than 17 years.
- Candidates must have cleared their class 12 exam from a recognized board.
- Candidates that are appearing for their class 12 exams are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved categories) in their class 12 exams or equivalent.
GUJCET Application Form
GUJCET 2020 admission process starts with the application form, which can be accessed from the GUJCET official website: http://gujcet.gseb.org/. Candidates will be required to fill in relevant details and upload prescribed documents on the portal.
GUJCET Application Fee
Application fee for GUJCET is the same for all candidates (Reserved, Unreserved and PWD candidates)
Step 1: Candidates should obtain a DD of Rs. 300 in favour of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar”. After depositing the application fee in the designated help centres, candidates will be provided with a User ID.
Step 2: Log in with the given User ID and register for the examination after providing name, phone number, and email-id.
Step 3: Fill in the required fields on the application form.
Step 4: Candidates should now upload a scanned photocopy of their signature and photograph according to the dimensions mentioned in the website.
Step 5: Submit and take a printout for future reference.
GUJCET Selection Process
After candidates have appeared for the GUJCET exam, they will be allocated a rank according to the marks they have secured. Based on these marks, candidates can choose their desired course and institution in the counselling process (Seat availability subject to rank secured and reservation status of the candidates).
GUJCET – Important Documents
Candidates are requested to ensure that they possess hard and soft copies of the following documents during the application process
- Class 10 marks card
- Class 12 marks card
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate ((if claiming reservation)
- Family income certificate
GUJCET Admit Card – Download Procedure
- Visit the GSHSEB Board official website at http://www.gsebeservice.com/.
- Click on the tab titled “GUJCET Hall Ticket”. (Please note: The link will be made available a few weeks prior to the commencement of the exam.)
- Select one of the two modes of accessing the hall ticket – “Name and Captcha” or “Application Number.”
- Click “Search”, the hall ticket will be presented before the candidate.
- To save it for print or offline viewing, right-click on the hall ticket and select the “save as” option. Select the format as PDF and then click “save.” The admit card will now be available on the candidate’s local machine.
Important Instructions for Exam: Candidates are requested to carry the GUJCET admit card along with a photocopy of any ID proof to the examination hall. (Either a voter card, PAN card, Aadhar card, passport or driving licence)
